Greetings Nestle Neutrons, I hope everyone is enjoying the last day of summer break. Tomorrow is the first day of school and we are excited for the new school year to begin. School gates open at 7:50 and parents are welcome on campus in the morning for the first week of school. Parents, we hope you will also join us on Friday morning for our monthly Dance Party in the lineup area before school. The first morning bell rings at 8:10. The late bell rings at 8:15. We will be generous about tardies the first few days of school as you become acclimated. By Thursday, we will be handing our tardy slips after 8:15am. This is also a reminder that there is a new District policy prohibiting food deliveries to school. There is no more GrubHub, Posmates or other food delivery services to students. Also please make sure your student brings a lunch to school in the morning or eats our free cafeteria meals. The school also provides free Breakfast In the Classroom to all students who want one. Dropping off lunches or homework or forgotten items is also prohibited as it is highly disruptive to the learning process. School dismisses at 2:38pm, except for Tuesdays which has a 1:38 dismissal. Students need a backpack but nothing else is required. Teachers will send a note or letter home if they would like special items to be donated. We look forward to an exciting, productive and learning-filled year.
