All Los Angeles Unified Schools and Offices Closed on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025
Dear Nestle Families,
I know most of us have already heard the news, but I wanted to confirm that due to the ongoing fires in our area, Nestle Charter Elementary will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 10th. The safety of our students, families, and staff remains our highest priority, and we want everyone to have the time and space to focus on their well-being during this time.
Today truly showed me how special this school is. Despite the challenges and adjustments to schedules, our teachers rose to the occasion with grace and flexibility, while our students remained calm, engaged, and ready to learn. It was a reminder of just how strong and resilient our community is.
As I continue to settle in, I’m working on gaining access to the ConnectEd system. Once that’s in place, I’ll use it to communicate important updates and information directly to you. In the meantime, please look for updates on lausd.org. I also forwarded you the letter from Superintendent Carvalho which lists ways you can receive information through social media sites.
